since 2025 is wrapping up, i wanna share some of the games i've enjoyed this past year!
i originally posted these on my socials, but i figured i could spread the good word of indie games
here too :3
Juno 06
psychics duke it out in TRPG battles on the moon. your units start every battle at level 1,
so you gotta
strategize which units to level up during each combat encounter
Picayune Dreams
survive inter-dimensional bullet heaven hordes and bullet hell bosses with bumpin drum n bass and breakcore
it adds onto the bullet heaven formula by giving you a skill tree to craft multiple unique builds, plus a
story exploring Cyl's torment nexus origins
Fear & Hunger
other people, when they feel miserable, will snuggle up with a cozy game and let the good vibes wash over
them. when i feel miserable, i march over to Fear & Hunger to get my ass beat over and over and over
i enjoyed the oppressive atmosphere and puzzle-like battles!
Petal Crash
a competitive 1v1 tile matching slide block puzzle game where, when you make a match, those blocks push
adjacent blocks. go for big chain reactions!
the story mode features charming characters with fun dialogue !
i wanna play more eventually, i just suck sooo so so bad at it ðŸ˜
Soul of
Sovereignty: Prelude
an ongoing linear visual novel by ggdg, best known for their webcomic Cucumber Quest.
this story's a bit
more dark and mature than CQ, and while it's still in its early stages,
im intrigued by its dismal world
and poorly coping characters
Pseudoregalia
3D metroidvania that SCHMOVES
the story's almost nonexistent, it's easy to get lost in certain areas, and the combat is simple, but if you
revel in complex 3D platformer movement you'll be in heaven. it took me a bit to get used to the wall kick,
but once it clicked? ohhh baby
Formless Star
one of my favorite parts of Pokemon is collecting as many critters as i can and reading their pokedex
entries, so a game that's focused purely on cataloguing cute silly creatures is right up my alley. every new
discovery was exciting since all their designs are so fun and varied!
Wooden Ocean
what im currently playing!
it had a shaky first impression, but as i delve deeper into this rpgmaker game i grow more curious about its
intriguing weirdo world. and its huge, highly interconnected map provides plenty of enrichment for an
exploration sicko such as myself
